Saturday Writing Essentials: January 26th, 2013: Prompt: I’m winging it here, folks: let me hear about your jury duty stories. Use prose or poetry to tell me about that time you were on a jury, faced a jury, or managed to get out of jury duty.
Monday Writing Essentials: January 28th, 2013: Prompt: Write about jerks
He sure is annoying. That jerk on the jury who thinks he knows everything. Yesterday, he told me to vote guilty. It’s against my principles to go only with the crowd and ignore evidence. The man, George thinks he’s the foreman wanting to tell me what to do. He thinks the defendant needs to fry. But, I do not feel the same.
We argue all the time. It’s frustrating. George yells at us all, even those who agree with him. And I have met my emotional limit. For revenge, I came up with a plan to make that idiot pay for his aggravating behavior.
I followed him one day, saw what his car looked like. While on a break, I stole his vehicle and drove it around town, speeding, run through red lights and racked up all sorts of tickets for parking illegally.
When the trial was over and the defendant was found not guilty, I laughed at the look on George’s face when he got hauled into the court for failure to pay his tickets.
That jerk will learn to never mess with me again.

Nice emotional story.
Good one John. Very true.
I served on a jury once....actually I was chosen by the judge to be the foreman. I had this annoying woman juror who kept talking on her cell phone when we were deliberating. I asked her to shut it off. She refused. I called the Clerk and he took the phone away. She was not happy!
Oh dear. That is rather rude talking on the phone will in the jury room. I believe it's illegal as well. You can not discuss the case while you're on it. And, that's what she could have been doing.

Don't tell anyone, but I secretly have a mean streak. Ha, ha
Thanks for taking the SatWE challenge.
John is always right about everything.
