In Honor of Gather Authors - Evan's Castle, by Tracy Fabre

I am a big Tracy Fabre fan and Evan's Castle is another great romance and another one of her novels I couldn't put down.  In fact I stayed up till after midnight to finish it.  Evan, living in his warehouse lab, known to be gruff and irritable, hired Rachel.  The story isn't just about romance, it's a 'who wants to kill Rachel and why' novel.  Her book kept my fascination, watching a romance blossom and wondering who really wanted her dead.  Was it the jealous woman or her ex-boyfriend.  Naturally, I guessed wrong.

I enjoyed this book not just because of her smooth story flow, her humor and her way with words that take you on a visual journey.  Tracy is one of the few romance writers that tells a story with a plot outside the romance and never uses pages and pages of overly romantic fill.  Her story flows, never losing the essence of the plot and the romance.  Evan's Castle gets a high, need to read, rating from me.

I purchased this book from Amazon Kindle as an ebook for (if I remember correctly $2.99).

Writers really love it when readers say they had to finish a novel in one sitting-- major pride factor there.

It worked out wonderfully and kept me in suspense on the who done it part. The twist turned around on me. Good thing I read it a day when I could sleep in late. I was up until close to 1 AM.

I still, as of yet have not read any of Tracy's novels. I hope that one day I can. Maybe when Christmas comes, or my birthday, when hopefully I will get some money

I get it on the money. If my husband hadn't bought me a Kindle for my birthday, I may not have been able to afford to read it. Heck, Tracy's already cut into my beer budget.

I agree. She keeps with the story. I dislike it if I have to thumb pages and pages of fill and she doesn't do that.

Normally, I hate Romance Novels. The only two I found enjoyable were The Notebook and Evans Castle.

I generally dislike romances because they typically have too much lustful fill in them and that distracts from the story. That's one of the reasons I like Tracy's books so much - she stays with the story and never has her book full of fill.
